Those of us Who are Artists-There is a Reason

I still remain a sophisticated slave with  only a slither of freedom. My freedom
lies in the fact that I have not worked under someone for 18 months. Would you agree that is freedom? I would, but there are dire costs associated with such actions.

The lifestyle I once lived, I can no longer live. I sold my car last May, I rarely buy any
new clothes. Entertainment consist of free events that I have enjoyed throughout the summer
in Newark (This is actually a really good thing). I don't have a girlfriend. And on and on.

Yet this journey has helped me define who I really am, an artist. An artist that wears different
hats and has loads of innate skills to be developed. But yet many remain sophisticated slaves because
mass culture shackles us to a paradigm that does not fit our innate make-up. And we feel it
and some of us know it and ignore it, as it seems to overwhelming to face. It can be.

We have jobs and kids and ego and society looking at us and daring us to break the norm.
Understand freedom is a journey, like so many other journeys in our life.  Anything can happen!
We cannot be afraid of our heart  or of the powerful intuition that lies within us. It is given to us for a reason. Those of us who are artists--there is a reason.
